Kraus Remodeling – Established 2005
I grew up with a tradesman background. My grandfather was a master carpenter and mason before and after his Army tour in WWII. He gifted his extensive knowledge of these trades to my father who instilled a large amount of this family skill set unto me.
I grew up in our family woodworking shop helping with the next project, be it basement finishing and deck building to roofing and bathroom renovations. I entered into this industry full time over a decade ago working for a disaster recovery firm and then for a exterior remodeling company. I learned a lot from these experiences through more hands-on learning from installation procedures, product knowledge, sales and networking. I also learned the most valuable lesson of all: “What Not To Do.” During this time working for these companies I received a very valuable lesson in customer service.
One of the companies seemed to not be bothered with disgruntled customers and the other treated them as the valued life blood that they are. When I opened the doors to Kraus Remodeling I decided that there was a need for a company without all of the layers and to treat my valuable clients as friends and provide the total five star remodeling experience.
Kraus Remodeling does not employ high pressure sales tactics. Our client experience is a personal experience from your dream to project delivery. We are always looking forward to meeting our next friend.
In 2022, my wife Lindsay joined Kraus Remodeling full-time after teaching for ten years in Prince William County. We’re no stranger to hard work, and now that we’re a team we’ve found that our presence and our customer service is even better than before.
About Matt Kraus – local family man
Growing up in Fairfax, I’ve traveled around the country before settling down right back here in Northern Virginia. My wife Lindsay and I met in 2009, and we soon moved to Nokesville to start our family and a small homestead. We’ve been here for over ten years, and life is good. Together, we run a small farm with chickens, fruit trees, and vegetables. We love to travel, hike, camp, hit the beach, and spend time together doing projects around the farm or trying new places. I’m also my daughter’s soccer coach. We are big supporters of our local community and try to help out whenever and wherever we can.
Our daughter, Raegan, is also a budding entrepreneur. You may see her from time to time popping up at farmer’s markets or at local businesses.
